Mix the raisins, sultanas, ginger preserve, pumpkin preserve, chow-chow and candid peel.

Add honey, almond essence and rose essence

Mix them very well and store it in a dark and dry place for 2-7 days (more the merrier).

When the mixed ingredients are ready, mix the roasted rulang with margarine and allow it to cool.

Separate egg whites and yolks

Fold in the finely ground sugar little by little into 25 egg whites and beat well till it forms a frothy texture.

Add this to the stored fruit mixture.

Beat the 50 egg yolks separately till frothy and add it to the fruit mixture.

Chop the cashews, cherries and mix it with rulang & margarine mixture. Add vanilla.

Tip in the mixture into the baking tray and line with oil paper

Preheat the oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and continue to bake the cake for about 80-90 minutes or until a long skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

4tbsp Honey
50 Egg
4tbsp Vanilla essence
4tbsp Rose Essence
4tbsp Almond Essence
